IMPORTANT ELECTION INFORMATION!
Please call the hall to get involved!
In 14 days, the voters of Illinois will decide who will run this State for the next
4 years. GOP candidate Bruce Rauner is bad for working families, and he must be
stopped. But we need your help to stop him. Volunteer for our
PHONE BANKS and
NEIGHBORHOOS WALKS today.
It's pretty clear: if Rauner becomes the Governor, he would favor corporations over
workers.
- He favors right-to-work-for-less zones, which means less money in our paychecks,
lower health and retirement benefits, and unsafe working conditions, while giving
corporations more tax breaks.
- He favors reducing, and even eliminating, the minimum wage, stating it would keep
Illinois businesses competitive with surrounding states.
- He favors outsourcing jobs that he believes don’t belong in America, so much so
that GTCR, his private equity firm, formed H-Cube, a global business outsourcing
firm.
Rauner says he is going to run this State like he ran his businesses. Does that
mean he is going to come in, suck this state dry for every cent he can get for his
millionaire friends, and then leave the mess for someone else to clean up?
- That’s what happened when three women in two Florida nursing homes died. GTCR is
under investigation for allegedly selling the nursing home chain to avoid wrongful-death
liabilities.
- It’s what happened when top executives at Lason Inc., a GTCR-owned document imaging
firm, committed accounting fraud that inflated earnings on paper and sent the stock
price soaring. GTCR sold its investment at a profit while other investors lost hundreds
of millions of dollars.
These next 14 days are critical to our survival. We need your help to tell our union
brothers and sisters why Bruce Rauner must be stopped.
